Description: 1) Camp Instructors: iD Tech Camps are America's #1 Technology Camp. We offer technology programs for boys and girls ages 7-17 at over 50 universities nationwide and Spain. These are Summer Seasonal camps. In PA there are two locations: Villanova University, outside Philadelphia, and another in the Pittsburgh area.
2) Camp Director: Camp Directors are responsible for ensuring iD’s high standard of excellence! He or she must motivate staff, plan activities, set-up staff meetings, complete paperwork, communicate with main office staff, handle concerns, oversee set-up of labs, maintain rapport with conference liaisons, uphold quality assurance measurements, and foster a FUN environment in which students are able to learn new technology and think creatively. In addition to maintaining the satisfaction of all students, parents, staff and university liaisons, the Director will act as the Camp Health Officer and will administer all camper medications and perform camper health assessments. Maintaining a safe, supportive, and enjoyable atmosphere is crucial. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Word and Excel. . Directors must have strong organizational skills and be able to effectively communicate via email, cell phone, and hand-written documents. Knowledge of computer networking and/or related technology programs is a plus, but not essential. (e.g. web design, Flash animation, programming in C++ or Java, robotics, 2D game creation, 3D game design, 3D character modeling, game modeling, digital video production, and/or special f/x editing). In addition, the candidate would also have a background working with kids and teens. Camp or managerial experience is required. The ideal candidate would have a college degree in a related field and must be at least 25 years old (by the start of camp). Camp Directors must be CPR and FIRST AID Certified prior to training. $825/week for overnight DIRECTOR; Both Day and Overnight positions are available.
