Interlibrary Loan

The following resources will provide you with access to volumes at other libraries. For information on how to borrow books from other libraries, contact the librarian affiliated with each program.

Access PA

Access PA is a consortium of libraries that LCCC has joined in an effort to provide library users with more access to quality information. This organization includes hundreds of libraries in the state of Pennsylvania, drawing from public, school, and special, as well as academic libraries. Access PA offers access to a wealth of materials through an interlibrary borrowing system using the Access PA Library Catalog, plus access to many databases and other resources for students of all ages. Individuals with public library cards can access additional resources using Access PA's POWER Library from their public library's website.

For assistance contact: dehrensperger@luzerne.edu, or call 740-570-0439.

Reciprocal Borrowing

Northeast Pennsylvania Library Network

Northeast Pennsylvania Library Network is a consortium of fourteen libraries in northeastern Pennsylvania that joined together to offer Interlibrary Loan access to their collection. This page offers a list of the participating libraries.

For assistance contact: gpeacock@luzerne.edu, or call either 570-740-0661 or 570-740-0424.

PALINET

LCCC is a member of PALINET, a regional network of institutions cooperating in the provision of materials to those institutions' users. The PALINET Reciprocal Borrowing Program is designed to permit the patrons of participating academic libraries to go in person to one or more other participating libraries to borrow materials not available at the patron's home (borrowing) institution. The Reciprocal Borrowing Program requires that the borrowing institution issue to its patrons the correct form and check that the patron has an appropriate form of photo ID so that the patron may borrow materials from other institutions participating in the program. This page offers a list of participating institutions.

If you plan to use this service, please contact gpeacock@luzerne.edu, or call either 570-740-0661 or 570-740-0424, to obtain the correct form.
