The advanced search allows you to search for an item by using words describing more than one aspect of it. You may use a title keyword, an author's name, or a subject word combined with other descriptive keywords. For example, if you know the title and author of a particular item, the advanced search allows you to cull all other results out and get only the item you need. So if you want to find Ernest Hemingway's The Garden of Eden, the search will get you directly to the record of the book, as seen in the slideshow below.
